BNDES selects manager to oversee fund for Brazil startups

Brazilian development bank BNDES selected local asset management firm Domo Invest to oversee a fund to support startups with financing.

Part of the bank's equity arm BNDESPar, the fund is expected to be active for 10 years and reach assets of 100mn reais (US$25.7mn) at the end of the period, BNDES said in a release.

The fund may initially invest up to 500,000 reais in each startup with a focus on those with annual revenues of up to 1mn reais. The priority sectors include fintech, agribusiness, and health care.
