Charges filed against PwC audit firm

Chilean financial services regulator SBIF has filed charges against audit firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) accusing it of not complying with established criteria, a press release reads.

According to SBIF, PwC omitted relevant aspects such as credit risk, renegotiations and provisions.

PwC will have 10 days to present its defense against the charges, which the watchdog did not relate to any particular audit, but said the alleged irregularities date from 2010.
