EIB plans US$7.26mn in credit lines to Sofihdes for SME financing

The European Investment Bank (EIB) plans to provide Haiti's Société Financière Haïtienne de Développement (Sofihdes) with 5mn euros (US$7.26mn) in credit lines to provide financing for local SMEs.

The operation will finance investments by SMEs to support economic growth and diversification, as well as development of the country's financial sector, said EIB.

The project is currently under appraisal, according to the multilateral's website.
