Mexican government mortgage loan institution Fovissste said it is on course to meet its annual lending target of 90,000 new loans.
In the first half of the year, the firm issued 27,516 credit loans and initiated more than 21,000 loan applications.
Investments in 1H11 reached 12.2bn pesos (US$1.05bn), according to the company.
Fovissste is the second largest mortgage provider in Mexico with about 9% of the market.
