Lending to Mexico private sector sees double-digit growth
Mexican commercial banks' performing loans to the private sector grew 10.6% in 12 months through October.
Corporate lending led the way with an increase of 13.5%, the central bank said in a report. Housing loans advanced 10.5%, with consumer loans rising 6.5%.
The private sector represented 74% of the commercial banks' total loan portfolio at the end of October.
Lending to the private sector by Mexico's development banks increased 15.8% in the 12 months through October.
