Remittances to El Salvador declined by 0.45% in March compared with the year-ago month, but were up for the quarter.
Salvadorians living abroad sent home US$336mn in March, according to the latest report from central bank BCR.
Still, remittances were up by 4.5% in the first quarter compared with 1Q10, to US$866mn, as they continued to recover from the steep drop-off seen during 2009.
