Sudeban talks with bankers about agricultural lending

Venezuelan banking regulator Sudeban met with bank representatives to discuss new rules regarding lending to the country's agricultural sector, according to a press release from the regulatory agency.

One of the points addressed was the timeframe and risk conditions for all loans that are being restructured and pardoned following weather events that impacted Venezuela in 4Q10, including heavy rains and flooding.

Additionally, a schedule was put into place for banks to set up a technological platform to provide information regarding their agricultural lending portfolios, the release reads.
