Brazil publishes pre-tender for next pre-salt auction
Brazil's oil and gas watchdog ANP disclosed on Thursday the pre-tender and contract draft of the fifth production-sharing bidding round, scheduled for September 28.
The pre-tender details areas to be offered as well as the rules and proceedings and the preliminary schedule. The document also describes changes in comparison to the last pre-salt round, held in June, due to the adjustments required by the federal audit court (TCU) regarding the Saturno block, and the minimum financial requirements bidders must meet.
Both documents are open to public comments and suggestions until July 11, two days before the hearing session.
Brazil's fifth production-sharing auction will offer the Saturno, Titã, Pau-Brasil and Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde areas in the Campos and Santos basins, within the pre-salt polygon. State-run oil firm Petrobras expressed an interest in exercising its pre-emption right in the Sudoeste de Tartaruga Verde block.
