Brazilian IT firm Resource opens new US office, eyes Peru
Brazilian IT firm Resource opened an office in Chicago, its fourth US agency, as part of a new five-year global growth push, the company said in a statement.
With the expansion, Resource aims to be closer to major firms and global Fortune Global 500 companies that operate in the region.
Resource arrived in the US in 2014 and has offices in Miami, the Silicon Valley and Dallas. The company currently operates in six countries, including Brazil, through 21 offices and an innovation center.
In Latin America, it is also present in Chile, Colombia and Mexico. The company reports 300 clients and 2,500 employees worldwide.
Resource is now also eyeing Peru as a coming stop in its international expansion, a company spokesperson confirmed after it was reported by a Brazilian daily.
Overall, Resource plans to invest 15mn reais (US$4.83mn) in its international expansion by next year, the source also stated. In addition, the company is preparing an IPO, as previously reported.
