Colombia clarifies distributed generation rules
Colombian power and gas market regulator Creg has published information aimed at clarifying rules for distributed generation in off-grid areas.
The documents follow a workshop in Bogotá on Wednesday that discussed connection procedures, metering methods and conditions for the purchase and sale of excess energy.
The government unveiled its distributed generation regulatory framework in May as part of a drive to diversify the power generation mix and encourage investment in non-conventional renewable resources.
