Colombia publishes new E&P contract guidelines

Colombia's hydrocarbons regulator ANH has published a draft bill that establishes rules and procedures for exploration and production contracts.

The guidelines relate to the registration, renewal and issuance of certificates for the assignment of areas and technical evaluation contracts, according to the resolution.

ANH said it will accept comments and suggestions until August 22. More information, in Spanish, can be seen here:

The document follows a separate resolution published last month which set out reference terms for rules related to the 2018 permanent competitive procedure, which allows companies to express interest in unassigned blocks.

Earlier in June, ANH also published a new contract model aimed at making offshore exploration and production more competitive.
