Bolivia issues wind turbine call

Danish companies are in line to provide wind turbines for planned power generation parks in Bolivia's Santa Cruz department.

State power company Ende issued a call for expressions of interest to design, supply, install and start up turbines for wind projects Warnes, San Julián and El Dorado, which will boast at least a combined 93MW.

The process is open to groups from Denmark as Danida Business Finance, which is part of the European country's foreign ministry, will provide financing.

Documents are due by June 1 and prequalification results along with an invitation for the shortlisted firms to bid will be published on June 23, according to the procurement notice.

Ende also extended the bidding deadline to develop the 50MW first phase of the Oruro solar photovoltaic complex to May 5.
