Equipment has begun to arrive in the Bolivian city of Cochabamba for the 124MW hydroelectric project San José, which is due online in 2018.
The equipment includes a crane, turbine housing and runners, Eduardo Paz, executive president of state power company Ende, said in an update. Other equipment such as the electromechanical components of the machine house and substations will arrive in the coming months.
San José is part of the country's export-oriented power generation development pipeline.
