Peru's energy and mines ministry granted ISA-controlled Consorcio Transmantaro (CTM) a definifitive concession for a transmission project which will span regions Ayacucho, Huancavelica, Ica, Arequipa and Moquegua.
Infrastructure includes 500kV 918km line Mantaro-Marcona-Socabaya-Montalvo and associated substations.
In a resolution, the ministry authorized the general power director or equivalent to sign the concession contract on behalf of the state with CTM.
At end-March, construction was 92.2% complete, according to information from energy and mining investment regulator Osinergmin, which adds that although commercial operations startup was scheduled for June, CTM requested an extension to November.
