US customer management solutions provider Amdocs (NYSE: DOX) is seeing a stronger position in emerging markets in Latin America and Asia, as operators shift more attention and investments toward customer experience, company president and CEO Eli Gelman said in a conference call with investors.
"Given our own unique position and track record in implementing customer experience solutions, we are winning influential deals with the largest carriers in the emerging markets... as they increasingly compete for subscriber loyalty," the executive said.
The increased focus on the postpaid segment and customer experience in emerging markets is "a major change," Gelman said. "You can see it in Asia-Pacific, you can see it in Latin America and South America and in other places."
The company posted a net profit of US$92mn in its fiscal third quarter, ended June 30, basically flat compared to the year-ago period, Amdocs said in its earnings statement.
Quarterly revenues reached US$801mn, a 6.4% increase year-on-year.
For fiscal Q4, Amdocs expects to generate US$800mn-815mn in revenues.
