CNT launches 3.5G in Portoviejo, Loja

Ecuadorian state telecoms operator CNT has launched 3.5G services in the cities of Portoviejo and Loja, local newspaper Diario Hoy reported.

Last year, CNT absorbed mobile company Telecsa, which operates under the Alegro PCS brand.

CNT, formed as a result of a merger between Pacifictel and Andinatel in November 2008, also offers fixed telephony, long distance services and broadband.
