DirecTV Latin America (DTVLA) has surpassed the 10mn-customer mark eight weeks after posting its best quarter ever, the company said in a statement.
The Latin American branch posted revenues of US$1.11bn in Q1, climbing 43% from US$779mn in the year-ago period, according to the company's earnings statement.
During the quarter, DTVLA recorded a net addition of 427,000 subscribers, up from 227,000 in the same period the previous year.
DirecTV owns 93% of Sky Brazil, 41% of Sky Mexico and 100% of PanAmericana, which covers most of the remaining countries in the region.
