Bnamericas
Mobile software company Myriad Group is expanding its global presence with new offices in Mexico, India and Dubai, the company announced in a statement. The new offices are part of a broader global expansion effort to reinforce Myriad's positioning and support its existing and new customers' growing needs. In Mexico, the recently opened office is supporting the company's five-year exclusive partnership with Spanish telecoms giant Telefónica (NYSE: TEF), delivering social networking to more than 140mn customers in 13 countries. Using Myriad's Xumii platform, mobile social networking solution Myriad Updates will allow Telefónica's regional mobile operators Movistar and Vivo to offer text-based social networking, instant messaging and email services to their non-data users in Latin America. Through the new facilities in Dubai and India, the company expects to capitalize on the increasing demand for mobile software and services. Myriad also has offices in Switzerland, UK, France, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Australia and the US. Myriad Group is a global provider of mobile technology, including browsers, messaging, Java, social networking, user interfaces and middleware for all types of mobile phones, from ultra-low cost handsets to advanced smartphones.
