UK mobile email and synchronization solutions provider Synchronica continued to grow in Latin America in the second quarter of the year, and sees ongoing growth opportunities, especially in Mexico and Brazil, company chief marketing officer Nicole Meissner told BNamericas.
"We expect the Latam region to continue to be an important part of our business as we move into Q3 and Q4 of 2011," the executive said.
"We will be rolling out the latest version of Mobile Gateway to all of our customers in Latam over time, as we continue to look for new opportunities in the region with our advanced mobile messaging technology," she added.
In Latin America, Synchronica has an agreement with América Móvil (NYSE: AMX) and Spanish telecoms group Telefónica (NYSE: TEF). During the quarter, Synchronica launched its instant messaging service with América Móvil's subsidiary in Puerto Rico.
Synchronica posted revenues of US$3.9mn in 2Q11, down from US$4.5mn in the year-ago period, the company said in its earnings statement.
Total revenues for the first half reached US$5.8mn, up 16% year-on-year.
