Colombian mobile telephony operator Tigo has launched prepaid services for Blackberry users, local newspaper Portafolio reported.
According to the report, Tigo is the first operator in the local market to launch such a service.
Users will be able to acquire prepaid packages including web navigation, chat and email services for as low as 35,000 pesos (US$18.61).
The operator ended last year with 4.2mn mobile telephony subscribers, according to the report.
Tigo operates GSM and 3G technology and is controlled by Luxembourg-based mobile operator Millicom (Nasdaq: MICC).
