Brazil mobile telephony operator TIM plans to expand its internet service under national broadband plan PNBL to 300 cities where it has 3G coverage, local press reported.
TIM is currently offering a low-cost broadband service called Liberty Web Light, which has access speeds of up to 1 Mbps for 35 reais (US$20) a month.
TIM expects to reach 1,000 cities by 2012 with the popular broadband project, according to previous reports.
TIM is fully controlled by European telecoms operator Telecom Italia (NYSE: TI).
