Mexico state's (Edomex) transport and communications department has published bidding rules to build, operate and maintain the 44km Atlacomulco-Arroyo Zarco highway stretch, the state government reported.
The project carries a price tag of 800mn pesos (US$72mn), of which 150mn pesos will be earmarked for expropriations and the remainder for the works.
The highway will connect the Atlacomulco-Maravatio and Mexico-Queretaro stretches in the municipality of Aculco.
The project falls under Edomex's 1999-2005 development plan and is part of governor Arturo Montiel Rojas' plan to promote private sector participation in highway works.
Bidding rules will be available until October 29.
