A delegation of Finnish businessmen will visit Colombia next week to look for investment opportunities and establish strategic partnerships with local firms, according to the country's trade, industry and tourism minister Luis Guillermo Plata.
The firms are looking to expand their operations in sectors such as logistics, the environment, health, energy and telecommunications, local press reported.
Plata will explain Colombia's strategies to attract foreign investors and the steps that have been taken to create new free trade agreements, among other issues.
On March 2, the Finnish delegation will participate in a seminar to promote business opportunities between the two countries.
Among the companies sending representatives to Colombia are telecommunications firm Nokia and Environics, which manufactures nuclear, x-ray and chemical products.
Also included in the delegation are representatives from firm Martin Bencher - which operates in the cargo transport business - and Metso, a global provider of sustainable technology and mining services.
