Argentine port La Plata's public-private managing consortium "Consorcio de Gestión del Puerto La Plata" has opened the economic bids for a 19mn-peso (US$6.74mn) breakwater repair contract, the consortium announced.
The bids were submitted by Concret Nor-Perales Aguiar (26.9mn pesos), Dragados y Obras Portuarias (26mn pesos), Eleprint-Marcabalba-Norgav (24.9mn pesos), Marín Construcciones-Coninsa (24.8mn pesos) and Vialmani-Tecma (25.4mn pesos).
The project falls under the port's master plan and will take 18 months to complete once the contract is signed. The announcement did not say when a winner would be named.
