Probitas 1492 expands professional indemnity team

12 January 2017 - Probitas 1492, the Lloyd's underwriting syndicate specialising in property, construction and casualty (re)insurance solutions, has expanded its Financial Lines team with the hire of Professional Indemnity Underwriter Kiran Wignall.

Wignall joins Probitas from Allianz where he was responsible for underwriting across various PI products within their Global Corporate & Specialty division.

Reporting to Senior Underwriter Paul Nolan, Wignall will specialise in Professional Indemnity (re)insurance whilst working closely alongside the rest of Probitas 1492's Financial Lines team, including Head of Financial Lines, Charles Boorman, and Senior Underwriters James Andlaw, (Management Liability) and Ernesto Medina (Financial Institutions).

Commenting on the appointment, Nolan said "We've experienced high demand from brokers and clients and have exceeded all of our targets to date within the Financial Lines division, so I very much welcome the addition of another PI Underwriter to the syndicate. I have no doubt Kiran's expertise is going to be a major asset and will help us to continue our success."

Kiran Wignall joins Probitas 1492 Financial Lines team on 12^th January.

Kiran Wignall joins Probitas 1492 from Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE, where he held the position of Professional Indemnity Underwriter. Before this, he spent two and a half years working for Hiscox as Professional Indemnity and Commercial Development Underwriter, responsible for a range of PI and commercial products.
