Bottle-roll metallurgy tests on ore samples from the Ocampo project in northern Mexico''s Chihuahua state yielded average gold recoveries of 97% and average silver recoveries of 86%, property owner Canadian junior Gammon Lake Resources (TSE: GAM) reported.
Tests were performed on samples from the Picacho, Plaza de Gallos, Refugio and Conico deposits. A total of 48 tests have been carried out, with a 96-hour test period. The testing is part of Gammon Lake''s ongoing feasibility studies for the Ocampo project.
The purpose of the tests is to determine any variations in the ore''s physical properties at depth or laterally around the deposits, which may affect metallurgical recovery. Test results to date show no significant differences in recovery based on depth, laterally within or between different deposits, Gammon Lake said.
