Venezuelan consultancy Tecmin, has finalized its Geological map of the Guayana region in eastern Venezuela, enabling state heavy industry holding company CVG, to plan new projects there, a CVG spokesperson told BNamericas.

"The map contains information which allows us to project new plants for the production of aluminium, and develop gold and diamond mining projects," he said.

The map outlines the geological formations of Guayana, in an area of 468.000km (slightly smaller than Spain), to identify potential mines in the various geological features found there.
