Brazil mining tax revenue rebounds
Brazil's mining royalties, known as the CFEM tax, reached 156mn reais (about US$40mn) in November, up 28.9% from 121mn reais in the same month of 2014, and the highest figure since the 167mn reais in May 2014.
Compared with October, royalties rose 21.9%.
Royalties over the last 12 months total 1.51bn reais, according to the minerals production department (DNPM). CFEM revenue for 2014 was 1.71bn reais.
The revenue is split between producing municipalities (65%), states (23%) and the federal government (12%).
