Brazil's mining tax revenue down in November

Brazil's mining royalties, known as the CFEM tax, reached 138mn reais (US$40mn) in November, down 11.7% year-on-year.

Royalties rose from 128mn reais in October.

Royalties over the last 12 months amounted to 1.83bn reais, according to data from the country's minerals production department (DNPM). CFEM revenue for 2015 was 1.50bn reais.

The revenue was split between municipalities (65%), states (23%) and the federal government (12%).
