Brief: Brazil's machinery exports rise in June
Brazil's industrial machinery and equipment exports rose 15.8% in June to US$872mn, news service Agência Estado reported, citing data from industry association Abimaq.
Machinery imports, on the other hand, totaled US$1.25bn, up 24.6% from 2017, the report said. Domestic sales rose 3.6% year-on-year.
In June, sales revenue increased 13.1% year-on-year to US$7.12bn. Compared to May, sales revenue rose 23%.
The industry's apparent consumption reached 9.21bn reais (US$2.46bn) in June, up 20.4% year-on-year, according to Abimaq.
