Junior exploration roundup: Sable Resources, Cabral Gold, Guyana Goldstrike, Harvest Gold

Sable Resources announced results from the third drill hole targeting the Margarita vein in its ongoing 12-hole drill program at its Margarita project in Chihuahua state, Mexico.

The hole confirmed vein continuity over a distance of 500m, the company said. The hole intersected the vein at a depth of 40m from surface and returned a weighted average grade of 514g/t silver equivalent over an intercept of 12.4m.

Cabral Gold provided an update on exploration at its Vila Rica discovery on the Cuiú Cuiú project, in the Brazilian state of Pará.

Rock chip samples from an artisanal pit 90m east of the original pit returned grades of 8.1g/t and 16.8g/t gold, the company said in a statement.

Sampling of stockwork-style mineralization in the original pit returned 1.1g/t gold over 10m, it added.

Sampling of a recently developed third pit returned rock chip samples of up to 6.1g/t gold, while channels returned 7.9g/t gold over 1.9m at the southern end of the pit.

Guyana Goldstrike reported that its team completed mapping and sampling of two trenches at the Toucan Ridge area on its Marudi gold project in Guyana.

In one area, 243m were trenched and 86 samples taken for fire assay, the company said in a release.

At the other area, 280m were trenched and 104 samples were taken for fire assay. Selected samples from both trenches will be re-assayed for total metallic content, the firm said.

Harvest Gold said it has commissioned the Cerro Cascarón drill program of up to 3,000m in Mexico to Evrim Resources.

The final details and costs of the drill budget will be completed before August 23 and the drill program is expected to begin about the third week of September, the company said in a statement.
