Toronto's Plateau Uranium signed the first agreement with the local community of Chaccaconiza to carry out exploration at its mineral concessions in southern Peru. Initial prospecting has led to new uranium mineralization discovered at surface, while five areas of strong radioactivity have been identified.

The agreement with the community is for six months, and the company has immediate plans to drill test the Falchani prospective area with at least two diamond drill holes or possibly more, subject to financing, a statement from Plateau said.

The shares of Colombia-focused Red Eagle Exploration began trading on October 12 on the OTCQB market under the XRELF symbol, a press release said.
