Oil field services firm Calmena Energy Services (TSX: CEZ) announced it deployed one of its Mexico rigs to a Canadian resource company in Colombia in the third quarter.
"The contract will commence in the fourth quarter of 2010 and carry through the second quarter of 2011," according to Calmena financials.
The services company also reported two directional drilling kits were redeployed to Colombia from Mexico to be marketed there.
"We are marketing our services in many oil field markets within Mexico and in other countries of Latin America and are encouraged by the prospects for our Mexican assets."
Calmena, however, did highlight the "significant" suspension of spending in Mexico, but said recent announcements suggest Pemex spending will resume in 2011 and will surpass that of prior years.
The company's regional operations include offices in Colombia and Mexico.
