Dallas-based Halliburton Energy Services has won a US$44mn contract from the upstream unit (Pemex Exploracion y Produccion) of Mexico's state oil company Pemex to supply drill bits and directional drilling, measurement-while-drilling (MWD), and logging-while-drilling (LWD) services, Halliburton said in a statement.
The equipment and services are for the drilling of 25 complete wells and the deepening of 30 others in the Cantarell Bloque Sur field project in the south of the Bay of Campeche.
Sperry-Sun and Security DBS will supply technology.
