Executives from Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA and representatives of three oil workers' labor unions will sign a wage deal on Monday fixing terms and conditions through 2004, PDVSA spokesperson Omar Guaregua told BNamericas.

PDVSA and the unions negotiate the wage agreement every two years and on this occasion talks were concluded after around six weeks of negotiations, Guaregua said.

The deal embraces the main labor union, Fedepetrol, and covers about 38,000 oil workers, or 90% of PDVSA's workforce, Guaregua said.
