Mexico's state oil company Pemex had begun restarting the fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) unit of its Minatitlán refinery as of Sunday, according to a company statement.
The unit was out of operation for its annual maintenance, which lasted from July 15 to 25, a company spokesperson told BNamericas.
Minatitlán has capacity to process 169,000b/d crude. The refinery supplies southern Mexico and the Yucatán peninsula.
