Ecuador's state oil company Petroecuador, through downstream operations subsidiary Petrocomercial, has called interested foreign and local companies to present bids for an engineering-procurement-construction contract to finance and expand the Shushufindi-Quito multipurpose pipeline, Petroecuador announced.
The winner of the contract will be in charge of completing required investments to build and operate new pumping and pressure control stations, storage facilities and other infrastructure to increase the pipeline's capacity. The statement did not specify the pipeline's current transport capacity before or after the expansion.
Prerequisites and qualification forms will be available from September 18 until October 6 at Petrocomercial headquarters for a cost of US$1000.
