Río Grande liquids separation plant works begin

Civil engineering works for the Río Grande natural gas liquids separation plant in Bolivia have begun, a spokesperson from state hydrocarbons company YPFB told BNamericas.

In July, YPFB awarded Argentine-Bolivian group Catler Uniservice a turnkey contract to build the plant.

The plant is due to be ready in a year according to contract terms, the official said.

The US$90mn plant will be built in the Cordillera province of Santa Cruz department.

The plant will process 150M-200Mf3/d (4.25M-5.66Mm3/d) of natural gas, from which LPG and gasoline will be extracted. Specifically, 360t/d of LPG and 660b/d of gasoline will be produced.
