Roundup: Río Napo, Petropar, gas industrialization project

Ecuador's environment ministry granted state E&P company Río Napo the environmental license for operations in the Sacha field, Orella province.

State oil company Petroecuador, through production subsidiary Petroproducción, holds a 70% share in Río Napo and Venezuela's state oil company PDVSA the remainder.

In November, Río Napo took over Sacha which produced 34,065b/d in January.

The Paraguayan lower house's energy and mines committee approved a resolution bill that gives state oil company Petropar 15 days to provide an update on the country's biodiesel situation.

The report must cover the current biodiesel volume at the company's Villa Elisa plant, historic sales volume and demand of the biofuel, companies that currently supply the fuel and admixture levels, among other information.

And Argentine province Tierra del Fuego's hydrocarbons secretary Eduardo D'Andrea announced studies are underway with Santa Cruz province to install a natural gas industrialization plant.

The news paralleled this week's inauguration of a gas pipeline that connects Tierra del Fuego island with the mainland.

Santa Cruz province company Fomicruz is helping identify the best site, newspaper El Diario del Fin del Mundo reported.
