Grupo Security Chilean financial holding company Grupo Security operates in the areas of financial services, investments, insurance, travel, and housing projects. The group is structured around four main business units: financial services (Banco Security and Factoring Security); advisory services (Inversiones Security, providing asset management, stock brokerage and other services); services (Travel Security and realtor Inmobiliaria Security); and insurance (life insurer Vida Security and insurance broker Corredora Security). In this area, it also holds a 25% stake in P&C insurer Penta Security. The group's main asset is local lender Banco Security. In early-2015, Grupo Security reached an agreement to buy a 61% stake in Peruvian insurance company Protecta from local group ACP, which is its first move into financial services markets outside Chile considering that, in 2012, it acquired a travel agency in Peru. Under the contract, ACP will stay on as minority shareholder with a 39% stake and Security has a preferential option to buy this stake if ACP decides to sell at some point.
