Argentine oil firm YPF will invest US$396mn through 2012 to upgrade the Luján de Cuyo refinery in Mendoza province.
The principal objective of the investment is to maintain the competitiveness of the refinery, Mendoza's provincial press office said in a statement.
The Luján de Cuyo refinery was put into operation in 1940 and has a refining capacity of 6.3Mm3/y.
