Colombia announces qualifying firms for oil and gas round

Colombia's national hydrocarbons agency ANH announced a preliminary list of 35 qualifying companies for this year's oil and gas licensing round.

Four firms that did not qualify for Ronda 2014 have until July 16 to appeal the decision, an agency statement said. The final list of approved bidders will be announced July 17.

The qualifying companies are: Anadarko, BC Exploración y Producción de Hidrocarburos, Cepsa, Chevron, Cleanenergy Resources, CNE Oil & Gas, Consorcio Andes Energia-Integra Oil & Gas, Consorcio Gran Tierra-Petroamerica, Consorcio Medaquipos (Indequipos-Medanito), Ecopetrol, Equión Energía, Exxon Mobil, Geopark, Gran Tierra Energy, Heritage Oil & Gas, Hocol, Hupecol Operating, Mansarovar Energy, Meta Petroleum, Mompos Oil, Parex Resources, Perenco, Petrobras, Petrobell, Petróleos Sudamericanos, Repsol Exploración, Shell, Statoil, Talisman, Tecpetrol, Telpico, Total, Trayectoria Oil & Gas, Unión Temporal Ronda 2014a- (Geopark & Casa) and Vetra Exploración y Producción.

The four non-qualifying companies are PanAtlantic Colombia, Establissements Maurel & Prom, Omega Energy International and Avanti Exploration.
