Enap boosts output 22% with Tierra del Fuego well
Chile's state oil company Enap has put a new oil find in Tierra del Fuego into production, increasing the firm's daily domestic production 22%.
The Paraguaya 2 well, on the Intracampos block, produced 160m3/d of crude (1,006boe/d) on February 13, according to a press release from the NOC.
Paraguaya 2 is the first well to produce from the formation beneath Magallanes basin's Springhill formation.
Enap plans to test the Paraguaya 3 well this week.
In 2014, the NOC expects to invest US$150mn in the Magallanes basin, up from US$125mn last year, drilling 21 gas and 11 oil wells.
