IEnova to build storage terminal in Baja California

IEnova announced Thursday a US$130mn project for the construction of a marine terminal to receive, store and deliver refined products in Mexico's Baja California state.

The facility, called Baja Refinados, which will principally be used for the storage and delivery of gasoline and diesel, will have an initial storage capacity of 1Mb.

IEnova also signed a long-term contract with Chevron Combustibles de México for the supply and delivery of refined products. The contract allows Chevron to use approximately half of the storage capacity of the terminal. Another subsidiary of Chevron will have the option of buying 20% of the terminal when it is finished.
