In Brief: Paraguay readies new LPG call

Paraguay's state oil company Petropar is working to nearly double the number of LPG sales points as a new LPG supply call is set to be issued, company head Eddie Jara said following a meeting with President Horacio Cartes.

"We estimate we will have 40 sites at year-end" from almost 25, a government statement quoted Jara as saying. He added that the 1,000t from the last tender have almost been used up, and that the new supply will last around nine months.

The official also highlighted that Petropar is on track to meet its goal of 120 service stations this year, and that the number could reach 130. The company is expected to reach 85 at the end of this month, up from 76.
