Peru hydrocarbons watch
State oil company Petroperú has resumed operations on the Norperuano oil pipeline's north branch after repairing a section that was damaged by third parties on November 27.
The contingency placed block 192 in force majeure starting on December 5.

The Peruvian NOC also reported the launch of its first 20,000b capacity barge to transport fuel along Amazon rivers.
Servicios Industriales de la Marina built the double hull Lagunas barge, which joins 8,000b capacity vessels Río Pisqui, Río Putumayo and Río Yarapa.

Hydrocarbons licensing authority Perupetro rejected a request from Brazilian junior operator Petroborn Óleo e Gás for a technical evaluation agreement (CET) covering the Talara basin.
CETs are used for acreage with little or no geological and geophysical information, complicated logistical access, that lack hydrocarbons transport infrastructure, and have very little or no history of exploratory drilling.
Depending on results, companies that secure such agreements may advance to negotiate an exploration and production contract.
A reason for Perupetro not accepting the request was not disclosed.
