Peru issues Talara refinery call
Peru's government has launched bidding for an EPC contract as part of the Talara refinery modernization (PMRT).
The work covers auxiliary services (air, water and gas) required to commission PMRT's operative units, according to procurement information from state oil company Petroperú.
Offers for the contract, which will be for a maximum of 210 days, are due on September 24. The estimated reference budget is reserved.
As of the end of June, 7.91bn soles of the project's 16.2bn-sol (US$4.9bn) budget had been spent, and work was 69.9% complete, versus the scheduled 88.7%.
Petroperú attributes the delay to issues related to the auxiliary and processing units, and expects PMRT to be completed in December 2020.
