TGP results reveal growing Peru natural gas demand

Peruvian hydrocarbons transporter TGP, which handles Camisea natural gas and NGLs, transported 16.6Mm3/d in the second quarter, up 19% year-on-year.

Gas shipments to power generators rose 23.7%, according to a company results report.

Sequentially, deliveries to regulated clients – through distributors Cálidda and Contugas – grew 5.3%.

In addition, the transporter delivered 14.7Mm3/d to Perú LNG in Q2.

TGP's earnings for the period increased 121% year-on-year to US$40.9mn and revenue rose 6.09% to US$135mn.

Projects underway to increase TGP's transport capacity to 920Mf3/d (26.1Mm3/d) from 610Mf3/d are a compression plant, a 31km loop between Chilca and Lurín, and a 20km branch to Ayacucho.
