Austin Powder to invest US$150mn in Salta province

US industrial explosive company Austin Powder International plans to install an 85,000t/y ammonium nitrate plant in Argentina's Salta province with a total investment of US$150mn, local news paper La Nación reported.

Of the total investment, US$50mn will go toward the construction of the complex, economic development minister for the province, Julio César Loutaif, was reported as saying.

State company Recursos Energéticos Mineros Salta has agreed to supply between 150,000m3 and 300,000m3 of gas to the facility.
