Bolivia awards hydrocarbons reserves audit

Bolivia's state hydrocarbons company YPFB has awarded the contract to quantify and certify hydrocarbon reserves through the end of 2017.

The winner of the 105-day contract was Sproule International, according to the award resolution.

GLJ Petroleum Consultants conducted the last certification, which put the country's proven natural gas and oil condensate reserves at 10.45Tf3 and 211.45Mb, respectively, at end-2013.

Also from Bolivia, the hydrocarbons ministry reported that sorghum and corn producers have joined sugarcane mills as participants of the government's project to introduce ethanol into the fuel mix.

The announcement followed a meeting between minister Luis Alberto Sánchez Fernández and William Fernando de las Muñecas, president of business group Grano Sol.
