Rodríguez said that these letters of intent point to import substitution. The objective is to go towards the industrialization of the technologies that national companies have. "These are companies that have been in the sector for many years, this type of alliances is a win-win between private companies and PDVSA."

In general, among the areas of joint work, established in these documents, include: stimulation and productivity of wells, quality of oil, drilling, operational reliability, treatment of effluents, development and application of products and chemical additives, dispersants of asphaltenes and surfactants, development and optimization of anti-foaming and demulsifying formulations, friction reducers, as well as products for improved recovery.

Likewise, a letter of intent was signed with the company Complete Environmental Solutions SA to review the potential of this company for the collection, analysis and storage of cores; as well as for the repair and supply of progressive cavity pumps, frequency variators and electric submersible pumps.

Dámaso Pérez Hernández, president of Environmental Solutions SA said that "PDVSA Intevep is a very important technological arm to validate our products, and Intevep has facilities, experience and knowledge to help develop our products."

This type of alliances promotes the development of the private sector related to the national oil industry and allows a timely response to the operational areas of the national oil industry.
